Fiber optic adapter (center connector) used to connect single-mode patchcords terminated with E2000 / APC simplex connectors. A passive element for connecting optical fibers with a precisely centered air gap through an optical connector. Fiber optic adapter E2000 / APC simplex single-mode as part of fiber optic network combines the high precision of centering of ferrules with 2.5mm diameter and very low attenuation on the created connection. The adapter body is made of highly durable plastic and the guide sleeve for the ferrule of the connected connectors is made of ceramic. The adapter is equipped with snap fasteners and holes for M2.2 screws, which ensure convenient assembly and disassembly. Adapters are used in the construction of fiber optic networks, mainly in fiber optic distribution boxes, boxes and subscriber sockets where they are used to connect pigtails welded to a fiber optic cable with patch cords. This E-2000 fiber optic adaptor is constructed with plastic body. The housing colors for each model are differed for easy identification: blue for SM, grey for MM and green for APC. It features low insertion loss and strong temperature stability by adopting high precise ceramic sleeve. Please note this adaptor is only available in simplex version.
